The 4th - 8th grade students have picked a Math Counts activity and will be split into 2 different classes. The students who chose to be on the competition team will be in one class and those who chose to do the video competition will be in another.
I am happy about the change because the two activities are quite different and the classroom needs of each clash. The competition team needs a quieter setting whereas the video group needs a more boisterous, creative atmosphere. Separate classes will also allow me to have more concentrated focus during our meeting times.
