We start every class with 5 minutes of meditation.
Hello Parents and Students!
This is the second week of school and my first blog post. Let me keep this one short and sweet.
Regular homework is done on IXL.com. All students have been provided with their login credentials for the site. I encourage you to log in on a regular basis to check if your student is working on math regularly and to see how they are doing.
I expect students to work on IXL regularly and for a moderate amount of time. Learning math is a marathon not a sprint. Let's settle in for the long haul and set a realistic pace.

Weekly Expectations By Grade
Grade | Time | Skills Attempted | Skills Mastered |

5th | 100 | 10 | 5 |

Weekly expectations matter the most. I understand the day-today variation in craziness. If Tuesday is nuts due to soccer practice and the violin recital please just have your child go to bed. Make it up another day.
I always want math to feel challenging but not frustrating.
